Wart Management
Warts that grow on the soles of your feet are called plantar warts - they can cause pain and discomfort in your foot, altering your posture and gait to accommodate this discomfort.
We recommend making an appointment to see us if your lesion is bleeding, painful or interferes with your daily activities. We commonly manage warts with sharp debridement (scraping) of the wart tissue and application of a concentrated salicylic acid (which can't be purchased over the counter) or silver nitrate or phenol, which are caustic to the wart tissue. This helps prevents further growth and spreading of warts.

Should the above treatment not work, we can simply surgically remove the wart under local anaesthetic. If you aren't sure, book in to discuss your specific treatment options available.
