Warts that grow on the soles of your feet are called plantar warts. While plantar warts don’t usually lead to serious complications, they can cause pain and discomfort in your foot, altering your posture and gait to accommodate this discomfort.
We recommend making an appointment to see us if your lesion is bleeding, painful and interferes with daily activity. We commonly manage warts with debridement of the wart tissue and application of salicylic acid or silver nitrate, which are caustic to the wart tissue. This helps prevents further growth and spreading of warts.
